Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS) is a team of trained volunteers who have either lost a loved one to suicide or are concerned and caring community members.

Suicide is a complex issue with no easy answers. But one thing’s for sure — the best defense is a good offense. Each man is on their own journey of well-being, trying to navigate their own issue and opportunities. Man Therapy takes a comprehensive, upstream approach and meets men where they are.

This Recovery Library is a Pat Deegan & Associates, LLC production. It’s made for people in recovery, by people in recovery. We like to think of it as a conspiracy of hope. We hope you find it useful, and enjoy it the way we intended. We are building this with help and inspiration from many places, and it’s only right to name some of the people, organizations, and projects that have been especially helpful in our work.

Established in 1986 as a federated library system, Berks County Public Libraries includes 19 libraries with 23 locations, each independently governed and operated by a local Board of Directors.

Aevidum is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that empowers youth to shatter the silence surrounding depression, suicide, and other issues facing teens. The word Aevidum, which means “I’ve got your back,” was created by students after a classmate died by suicide. Aevidum inspires schools and communities to adopt cultures of care and advocacy, encouraging all members to have their friends’ backs. Aevidum exists in elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and colleges across the nation.
